  1. What is my picture?
    Your picture will be your display picture which will identify you visually to other members and visitors.
  2. Who will be able to see my profile and information?
    Only registered members will be able to see your profile and information. The administrators have full control over who joins and can view your information.
  3. Can I join groups?
    You can join publicly created groups to share documents and engage in active discussions between members, however you will not be able to join the Virtual Exhibition groups.
  4. What benefits will this facility give me?
    Via the secure area of the website you will be able to share knowledge and information with other healthcare professionals, giving a perfect opportunity to network and make new contacts. You will also be able to download materials from the exhibition such as speaker notes, agendas and other written materials.
  5. How can I share documents and files?
    You will need to set up, or join a group related to the files you want to share. For instance, you may join the BSAC group to share documents about BSAC, or you may set up your own group specific to your files where you can invite members and discuss the topic.
  6. How can I set up a group?
    You can set up a group once you have registered and logged into the secure area of the site. From the top navigation choose "Community" and then "Groups" where you should see a button to "Create a Group". You can choose to make it Public, Private or Hidden (all options are explained as you go through the steps) and then invite members as you choose.
  7. If I provide my details will I receive spam?
    You will receive no spam from us, or any related companies. We will not share your personal details with any third party sources. We accept no responsibility for personal details you may share on visible areas of the site. Do not publish any personal details such as credit card numbers on any area of the website.
  8. Am I able to chat to other members?
    You can talk to other members by either @ replying to them in your own activity stream, contributing to the activity stream of a group or by directly (and privately) messaging a specific user by visiting their profile.
  9. Does it cost anything to sign up?
    No, there is no charge for registration.
  10. How do I sign up
    From the registration page, just enter your full details for automatic registration to the secure area which will give you full access to all the site.
